We have an opening for an API 510 Inspector position to work in the Carlsbad, NM area.

Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $50-55/hour
• Location: Carlsbad, NM
• Assignment Duration: Long term
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40-50 hours / Possibly on-call during weekends as needed
• Benefits: Comprehensive insurance, 401K, Holiday and PTO
• Mancamp available

• Seek direction/ask questions of the lead inspector until they understand how we operate/what we expect/get familiar with the job
• Work mostly independently with some oversight from the lead inspector once they have been here a while and are familiar with the expectations and roles and responsibilities
• Focus an estimated time of 25% of time focused on facilities and construction for pre-commissioning inspections and the rest on heater treater PMs, leak/failure investigations, repair scope and damage mechanism determination and shop repair QA
• Perform leak/failure investigations
• Repair scope and damage mechanism determination
• Fill in at the shops when Supervisor is out of town or off 

Note: Significantly more vessel repairs are performed in TX than in NM, so the shop load is significant.

• Highschool diploma or GED required
• Primary certification is API 510 (we perform confined space entries) with NACE CIP 1 preferable
• API 570, CWI or QA certification could work depending on the individual and their experience
• Self-starter and able to make decisions about equipment/repairs/best path forward and work well with the lead inspector and Client personnel
