We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant, and related equipment, on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

- Performs and assists in the performance of preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electro-mechanical machinery and equipment

- Performs or assists in the replacement of bearings in motors, pumps or other equipment

- Tightens and adjusts chains

- Removes and installs new or existing equipment or machinery

- Operates hoists, lifts and machinery

- Operates emergency power generation equipment

- Performs plumbing and pipefitting tasks as required

- Assists in keeping maintenance records

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 1+ years experience in the repair and maintenance of engines, pumps and mechanical equipment
