Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: Open at this time
• Location: Point Comfort, TX
• Assignment Duration: 6 months+
• Work Schedule: 9/80, 40 hours+

• Primary duties include; Test equipment or designs and diagnose problems related to vibrations.  Collecting vibration data and then working to repair or replace any machinery or mechanical and electrical components that do not meet safety, performance, or efficiency standards
• Develop and support implementation of maintenance plans for equipment in accordance with industry best practices, corporate requirements and manufacturer recommendations
• Support the development and completion of repair packages
• Provide support for PM implementation and for troubleshooting and resolving operational, design, commissioning and maintenance issues on equipment
• Implement equipment improvements including equipment maintenance strategies and plans and reliability improvements
• Participate in development of specifications and design reviews for the purchase of new and repaired equipment
• Lead or participate in MOCs, incident investigations, facility projects, assigned commissioning activities and the development of training material
• Support the selection of new material recommendations on rotating equipment and evaluate new technologies
• Set up and commission equipment including laser alignment of the equipment and baseline vibration readings
• Participate in root cause failure analysis on rotating equipment and complete actions as necessary
• Identify and steward opportunities for improvements in efficiency and reliability
• Complete equipment performance evaluations and review third party evaluations
• Support the development of operating philosophies and procedures for critical rotating equipment
• Update critical design information on equipment drawings, maintenance files, data books, shutdown keys, and other internal and external controlled documents

• Minimum 3 yrs experience in Vibration, rotational or static equipment field as a certified technician in at least one advanced Vibration methods
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience with equipment evaluations (torsional reports, condition monitoring, etc.), alignment, rotating equipment failure investigations and routine equipment maintenance practices
• Common knowledge of Windows driven programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
• Ability to work with computers / computerized equipment
