We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to work the Deer Park, TX.

 

 

Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Compensation: $75-80/hour
  • Location: Deer Park, TX
  • Assignment Duration: 9 months+
  • Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical oversite of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Responsible for the development and stewardship of plant reliability improvement and mechanical integrity programs
  • Provides technical leadership for both long and short-term reliability improvement activities
  • Ensures plant Mechanical Integrity procedures, programs and practices are in compliance with 29 CFR 1910.119(j)
  • Works closely with other stakeholders to determine and assess potential areas of reliability or equipment operating improvement, develop cost effective solutions and communicate proposals to upper management
  • Develops scope/proposals, cost estimates, project economics and schedules for projects relating to reliability improvement and mechanical integrity
  • Manages assigned project executions on budget, on schedule, and with technical accuracy
  • Other assignments as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the organization and as assigned by manager/supervisor
  • Participates as a team member for HAZOP's, Management of Change and special projects
  • Loss control responsibilities which include: conducting inspections and audits related to the Loss Control program as assigned, participating in Hazard Reviews as needed, recommending safety improvements, completion of safety action items as assigned, completing required regulatory training, and compliance with all applicable regulations

 

Qualifications

  •  B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or I&E Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering, preferably in a Chemical or Petrochemical Plant environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical integrity inspection methods, programs and program management
  • Demonstrated expertise in preventative/predictive maintenance methods, programs and program management for both fixed and rotating equipment
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of the following technologies is desirable: RCFA and FMEA methods, Preventative/predictive methods which includes vibration analysis, lube oil analysis, infra-red thermography, ultrasonic thickness testing, API Codes 610, 653 and 510
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
