Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Compensation: $50.00 - $70.00 hr./DOE
  • Location: The Woodlands, TX 
  • Work Schedule: Mon-Fri / 40 hr week
  • Assignment Duration: long-term, more than likely be a contract to direct hire position

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with Sourcing Managers and Procurement to establish, maintain and decommission contract catalogs within Ariba Buying and Guided Buying
  • Recommends for each category identified as catalog eligible the approach to enabling catalog content within the procurement platform
  • Solicits and evaluates feedback from end users regarding the ease and accuracy of locating desired content in the continual improvement of digitizing catalog content
  • Optimizes search and content display across both the Ariba Buying and Guided Buying platforms
  • Uses catalog expertise to implement new catalogs and troubleshoot issues with supplier stakeholders and Ariba catalog support, partners with Ariba in the onboarding of new catalog suppliers
  • Leads and coordinates the implementation of new Ariba Integrated suppliers
  • Coaches Sourcing Managers and Procurement regarding best practices in negotiating the optimal structure of pricing data for use in catalogs.
  • Designs the collection of catalog data across categories in support of reporting, including sustainability
  • Reviews and recommends new features to be adopted in support of enhanced catalog usability for both user experience and reporting
  • Anticipates and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Guide and train leadership through requirements gathering and defining strategies to recommend best case catalog usage
  • Responsible for administration / maintenance of catalogs for all categories and applicable suppliers
  • Support the development of training requirements and guide suppliers in the catalog enablement process where required
  • be the subject matter expert for catalog transactional processing
  • Ensure prioritization and deliverables are timely throughout the engagement process
  • Develop and manage KPIs as well as report on progress to attaining supplier enablement goals

Qualifications

  • Desired 5+ years of experience with Ariba Procurement and Sourcing processes with focus on catalogs
  • Proven expertise with Ariba Procurement & Catalog solutions, catalog enablement process (static and punchout), and overall use of catalogs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint; MS Word proficient
  • Ability to coordinate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for catalog data and catalog transactions with technical team
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data in Excel using pivot tables and various other key Excel functions to analyze, organize and present data
  • Intellectual curiosity and professional commitment to excellence
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with strong written and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, sense of urgency, work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities at once
