Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $140-150K/year
• Location: Deer Park, TX
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+
• Assignment Duration: Direct hire

• Responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the glycine unit and site utilities
• Review and evaluate capital projects as required.  Track process yields, establish targets/goals. Recommend and show improvement in yields in Glycine
• Assist in the evaluation of any new products and or processes
• Review efficiency of plant processes and evaluate equipment and process vs. new technology
• Assist in the preparation of the capital budget by recommending payback improvement projects
• Provide input on equipment and instrumentation selections
• Develop and maintain trends for glycine and DAXAD and any other process that becomes part of the Company site
• Learn plant processes and become technical expert both internally and externally. Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis of any off spec production or process issues
• Modify (or develop new) procedures as required in accordance with plant policies for any such changes (MOC, etc.)
• Assist with loss prevention reviews and recommend/incorporate safety controls on new

• 5 to 10+ years of experience with the essential duties and responsibilities described above
• A BS or higher in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with Process Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment Reviews
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Working knowledge of office productivity software, including spreadsheets and word processing
• Experience with standard operating procedures
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, PSM/RMP
• High-level knowledge of process control software systems
• Experience working with AutoCAD as well as experience working with cGMP processes
• Experience working with boilers, compressors, chillers and cooling towers
