We are seeking a Telecom Design Engineer for a contract-to-direct assignment in Portland, Oregon. The selected candidate will provide telecommunications systems design documentation for the semiconductor manufacturing industry, as well as other state of the art manufacturing and research facilities.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

** This position can work a Hybrid schedule in the Portland area **

- Leverage AutoCAD, SmartPlant and Revit MEP design software to create fully coordinated 3D models across all disciplines

- Through a mixture of full 3D BIM delivery, construction specifications and 2D sheets, you will help lead the design of everything from Outside Plant (OSP) to inter / intra-building backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired and wireless device plans and cable schedules

- Lead portions these very large and complex projects as a telecom scope owner working in conjunction with other telecom design professionals and supporting design staff while collectively producing challenging design packages

- Interface directly with our client counterparts

- Complete all facets of design and calculations in accordance with the NEC, applicable TIA and other industry standards

- High School Diploma or GED

- 5+ years experience in telecommunications design and construction

- Experience editing design and construction specifications

- A strong structured cabling design background

- An RCDD Certification is highly preferred

- Experience with start-up and commissioning of telecommunications systems is a plus
