Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Compensation: $65-75/hour
  • Location: The Woodlands, TX
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+
  • Work Schedule: 9/80 hybrid schedule 3/2

  • Mid-Senior Level insight from wisdom gained through experience to offer alternative solutions in automation network design and philosophies, advanced abilities troubleshooting automation network infrastructure
  • Applies knowledge in design reviews and process hazard analysis. A subject matter expert
  • Working safely, and ensuring all those working around them are working safely
  • Working with Houston-based and local ITS teams to install, operate and maintain field communications systems.  Unboxing, inventory, testing, and installing field communications hardware at sites in the work region
  • Scheduling formal change requests to field communications systems for firmware updates, security changes, and other configuration changes
  • Working to join infrastructure to a cloud management platform, central management, and monitoring tools
  • Documentation and knowledge transfer, such as maintaining and providing solution documentation to other team members, IT and business areas, detailing hardware installations, logically storing project files, and cross training
  • Providing solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologies including connectivity issues. Resolving operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents and request items
  • Working continuously on a task until completion or escalating to the next level support and prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
  • Collaborating with IT, managers, and other stakeholders to develop an action plan for improved operations
  • Preparing written and verbal presentations and providing management with timely and accurate status reports
  • Keeping customer base informed of changes and issues within the data center environment


  • 9+ years of Oil Field experience
  • 5+ years of upstream oil and gas coomunications experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management, technical, and field personnel
  • Able to model a strong work ethic and taking the lead on a variety of initiatives
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
  • Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
