- Chemical Engineering degree. Organic Chemistry background is a Plus
- 15+ years of process design experience. Leadership experience
- Experience managing multiple projects and changing priorities
- Embedded site-based experience
- Advanced skills in application of simulation tools such as ChemCAD, Aspen, HTRI, etc.
- Experience with Batch Reactor processes, campaign based operation and plant Dynamic behavior. Experience developing H&MBs for steady state and Batch operation
- Strong knowledge of major units of operation and how to select, design and specify: Heat Exchangers, Pumps, L/V separators, Pressurized vessels including Storage Tanks, Distillation column Design, Control and specification. Reactor basic design concepts, Reactor controls. Instrumentations design & Selection. Fired Heater Design - Plus
- Ability to analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot
- Moderate to strong knowledge of Process Control
- Knowledge of main utility systems such as Steam, Condensate, Cooling Water, Hot Oil, etc
- Hydraulic Evaluations
- Experience with PRV contingency analysis, PRV sizing Relief Header sizing
- Strong knowledge of PHA, LOPA, SIL Systems and Protective Systems major components
- A state of Texas Professional Engineering license is encouraged, but not required for this position
