Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $135K-145K/year
• Location: Pasadena, TX
• Assignment Duration: Direct hire, long term
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours

• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances for new and modified processes.  Specify new process equipment
• Develop project scopes for small and large capital projects.  Develop new plant designs for debottlenecking existing sites and greenfield expansions
• Work with equipment vendors and Operations to aide in selection.  Work with the Plant Operations teams to provide technical expertise and support for resolving operational issues
• Responsible for process manufacturing processes and bringing in state of the art process technologies to improve product quality and lower manufacturing costs
• Provide technical coverage for plant trials and startups
• Write and train chemical operators on operating procedures for new processes and equipment
• Interface with R&D with regard to process development and process improvements
• Develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating Lead or be a member of PPA (potential problem analysis), JSA (job safety analysis) and PHAs (process hazard analysis) teams

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; minimum of 10 years in plant or engineering environment (Process Engineering, Technical Services, )
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word; ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely
• Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.  Effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.  Work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.  Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal
• Ability to be truthful and be credible in the workplace
• Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task
• Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one’s ability using his or her own drive or initiative
• Ability to travel up to 15 – 20% (Port Arthur or San Juan Del Rio)
