Opportunity Snapshot:

 

  • Compensation: $24-28/hour
  • Location: Ross, ND
  • Duration:  7-8 months
  • Work Schedule: Mon-Sat / 50 hours+

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks.  Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant materials to maximize availability of working capital
  • Receive, unpack, count, inspect, identify and store materials, tools and equipment.  Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure
  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, pipe yards or other areas
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
  • Mark materials, tools and equipment using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment
  • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts based on information from incoming requisitions
  • Maintain records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.  Maintain records to maintain inventory control, cost containment and to assure proper stock levels
  • Review information data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions and other documents to assess supply needs
  • Confer with materials manager, purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability
  • Maintain housekeeping duties within store rooms, warehouses and shipping/receiving areas

Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory software and computer systems and resolving inventory problems preferred.  Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, ETC)
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment and supplies procured through purchasing and materials
  • Knowledge of storeroom operations and purchasing process
  • Ability to use Math Skills
  • Ability to use office equipment applicable to position including computers and applicable software
  • Ability to communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information
  • Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment required, including the ability to: operate telehandler and forklift
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
