Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $125-142K/hour
• Location: Denver, CO 
• Assignment Duration: Direct Hire
• Work Scheduler: M-F / 40 hours+

• Prepare month end revenue accruals to support the month end financial reporting process.  Prepare and explain detailed revenue variance analysis as part of monthly close including production, shrink and yields, and pricing
• Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations
• Review revenue bookings to ASC 606 revenue recognition evaluation to ensure execution of concluded treatment
• Serve as the key contact and provider of analysis and support for inquiries from other departments, owners, and audits
• Prepare routine and ad hoc reports
• Maintain all assigned revenue-related SOX controls; participate in all controls testing by both internal and external auditors
• Serve as lead on advanced projects.  Lead, mentor, and motivate Sr accountants, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance skills and the team’s performance
• Identify training needs and assist in ongoing coaching and development opportunities for team members to improve their accounting and industry knowledge
• Assure all work performed adheres to Client standards
• Resolve complex accounting issues or challenges that arise in upstream operations and be able to present resolution to upper management
• Identify and help implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies, while helping manage and allocate projects and training to members of the revenue team.  Develop recommendations for more difficult and complex issues
• Analyze and monitor the integrity and accuracy of revenue processes and journal entries

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or an equivalent required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, closing, reporting, and hands-on accounting systems 
• Minimum of 8 years experience in oil and gas required; upstream preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft 360 products (Outlook, Excel, Word) required with advanced skills in Excel in particular 
• Certified Public Accountant license a plus.  BOLO or Excalibur experience a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently as well as effectively within a team environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse audiences.  Meticulous attention to detail, consistently ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling efficient planning and execution of work to meet established deadlines.  Utilizes exceptional critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems, assess various perspectives, and develop innovative solutions that drive informed decision-making and enhance overall organizational efficiency
• Demonstrates unwavering high integrity and consistently upholds ethical standards while maintaining a strong work ethic to ensure the highest level of trust and accountability in all responsibilities
