We are seeking a Water Utility Worker for assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The selected candidate will learn and gain skills in a variety of equipment maintenance, servicing and operating tasks of a water treatment facility.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

** This position has a pay rate of $17.50/Hr. **

** Candidates with prior water, plumbing or irrigation experience are highly preferred **

- Performs any combination of tasks pertinent to controlling operation of plants and pumping stations as directed

- Monitors treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water, sludge, and effluent under direction of a licensed Operator

- Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels

- Observes and reports abnormalities to Lead Operator 

- Assists Operators in the operation of valves and gates either manually or by remote control to control and adjust flow and treatment processes

- Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings

- Takes samples and performs process control laboratory tests and analyses

- Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties

- Performs other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- Familiarity with hand and power tools

- Prior experience in water, plumbing or irrigation is highly preferred
