Overview

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician for assignment in Greensburg, Indiana. The selected candidate will support the Facility Maintenance Team in the preventative, corrective and general maintenance of facility electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, apparatus and other plant devices.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

 

** This is a 2nd Shift position **

** This position requires Journeyman status **

Responsibilities

- Ability to read and understand system blueprints, specifications and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts or pipes

- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment; Connects power supply wires to machines and building equipment; Connects cables and wires between machines and equipment

- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires, cables and fuses

- Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components

- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, sensors, motors and position sensing devices

- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings

- Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork

- Performs preventative maintenance tasking on electrical and mechanical equipment

Qualifications

- A valid Drivers License

- Journeyman status

- 5+ years experience in an industrial or commercial environment

- Training in motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives and PLC / BMS controls is highly preferred
