Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in Quincy, Florida. The selected candidate will maintain a water/wastewater system maintenance program as well as assist other associates in preventative maintenance activities.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities

- Assists Project Manager in the planning, scheduling and directing the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of specialized mechanical and electrical equipment, buildings, structures and grounds

- Assists Project Manager in the budgeting and estimating cost and time for all aspects of repairs or replacements

- Reads, interprets and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications and mechanical illustrations

- Performs skilled mechanical repair work on water/wastewater treatment plant equipment and related equipment

- Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences

- Assists Project Manager in recordkeeping and prepares routine and special reports

- Provides on-the-job training to less experienced employees

- Acts for Project Manager in his/her absence

- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment

- Lubricates equipment and checks for malfunctions

- Replaces bearings, packing, seals, shafts, sleeves, seats or other components found in treatment plant equipment

- Uses special tools, such as bearing pullers, torch, welding machine, hoist, or other equipment used in the repair of treatment plant equipment

- Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 5+ years experience in the maintenance and repair of advanced electrical and mechanical equipment

Knowledge of 3-phase wiring and troubleshooting

- Basic pump maintenance and troubleshooting
