We are seeking a Utility Worker for a temporary, seasonal assignment in Ontario, Oregon. The selected candidate will perform a wide variety of public works tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of public streets and right-of-ways.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

** This is a temporary, seasonal position **

** This position has a pay rate of $15/hr **

- Movement of materials weighing 50 pounds (up to 90 pounds with assistance)

- Operation of light, medium and heavy equipment (jackhammer, chainsaw, weed eaters, shovels, etc.)

- Inspect, repair and maintain public streets and rights-of-way, including street signs, pavement markings, trees and community relation projects

- Pavement cutting, crack sealing, base repair, sidewalks, curb, gutter, wheelchair ramps repair and tree removal

- Operate, maintain and perform minor repair to light and heavy equipment (backhoe, loader, welders, etc.)

- Cleaning and checking equipment and tools before and after use; Reporting defects or needed repairs to lead worker or supervisor

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Driver’s License

- Some knowledge of maintenance, construction, plumbing or heavy equipment operation
