Opportunity Snapshot:

 

  • Compensation: $35-40/hour DOE
  • Location: Midland, TX
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months
  • Work Schedule: 7/7 working 12-hour shift Mon - Fri 3 PM to 3 AM & Sat & Sun 10-hour Shift 7 AM to 5 PM

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operational activities, such as shut in or open wells, artificial lift maintenance, monitor chemical treatments, schedule, and monitor performance of rig less jobs (Swab, Slickline) etc.
  • Direct field based well failure activities; identify, validate, and react to well failures utilizing company SCADA system
  • Optimize artificial lift applications, including Rod pump, ESP, Jet Pump, and some Plunger Lift via SCADA
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnose downhole problems on wells via SCADA prior to moving the rig to the well
  • Coordinate resolution of problems with field techs
  • Identify and resolve production variances, and acknowledge, respond to, and initiate corrections/actions to process alarms
  • Attend and participate in well and pattern reviews, integrated solutions meetings and interact with engineering
  • Develop and utilize analytics dashboards
  • Pilot new technology and streamline operational processes
  • Maintain event logs and downtime reports, updates system daily reports

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of artificial lift or control room experience.
  • Knowledge of SCADA, upstream oil and gas operations
  • Ability to monitor multiple computer screens in a control room office environment. 
  • Must maintain a high level of alertness and be capable of quickly processing and reacting to incoming information from supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA)
  • Ability to control accurately solve problems
  • Ability to establish and work well in a team atmosphere.  Self-Starter with ability to work independently and meet objectives of the job and the team
  • Good communication abilities (written and verbal)
  • Strong Math Skills, strong Computer Skills, oganizational skillset
  • Proficiency in the use of and application of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • High School diploma or college degree
