We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator for assignment in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The selected candidate will perform tasks pertinent to con­trolling operations of a water treatment plant.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm

** A valid New Mexico Level 2 Water Certification is required **

- Operates pumps, engines and generators to control and adjust flow and processing of water, sludge and effluent

- Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels

- Observes variations in operating conditions and inter­prets meter and gauge readings

- Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control

- Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge read­ings

- Takes samples and performs laboratory tests and analyses

- Performs routine mainte­nance functions and custodial duties

- Makes operating decisions in the absence of supervisory personnel

- Ability to respond to pages in a timely manner as requested by management.

- Performs other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- New Mexico Level 2 Water Certification is required
