Opportunity Snapshot:

 

  • Compensation: $55-75/hour
  • Locations: Houston, TX
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months +
  • Work Schedule: 9/80, hybrid working Tues-Thurs in-office
  • Comprehensive benefits with 401(k), Holidays and PTO

Responsibilities

  • Work on regulatory filings and keep up with workload surrounding plugging, managing MIT compliance, new drill and recompletion permits and overall compliance
  • Support to asset teams in completing and submitting regulatory filings including but not limited to drilling permits, completions, recompletions, flare permits, commingle permits, and injection permits with all associated forms
  • Research and assist to resolve all compliance issues
  • Maintain in-house tracking systems with current information
  • Request and review as drilled plats provided by the survey company
  • Distribute filings to teams and departments as needed
  • Assist with review of assets for compliance issues during acquisitions and divestitures
  • Work with service company to obtain, review and file W-15’s
  • Complete all data collection for completion packets
  • Assess and resolve violation notices for assigned area

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience comprehending and interpreting State and Federal rules and regulations.  3 years experience in RRC regulatory
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience filing State and Federal Documents
  • Prior Permian Basin experience.  Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with various regulatory agencies
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and influence other departments and discuss issues that may arise
  • Must be able to apply knowledge and use critical thinking skills to achieve work responsibilities
  • Must be able to work independently with little direction
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task under tight schedule constraints, work on multiple projects concurrently, manage varying priorities and tasks, and adapt quickly to rapidly changing events, meeting deadlines with attention given to detail
