We are seeking an Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in Spokane, Washington. The selected candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the county's wastewater treatment plant on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery and equipment

- Lubricate equipment and check for malfunctions

- Replace packing in pumps or valves

- Replace bearings in motors, pumps and other equipment

- Examine equipment failures to identify cause and to prevent recurrences; install and set up new equipment

- Clean and paint interior and exterior equipment and buildings

- Clean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required

- Assist in keeping maintenance records

- Perform other duties as required

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 1+ years experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment; including pumps, engines and electric motors
