Overview

We are seeking a GSA Construction Manager for assignment in Bisbee, Arizona. The selected candidate will lead a construction team in the design and construction of a new $275M, 3-year commercial land port of entry for the GSA.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

 

** This position will work remotely for the first 8 months; then transferring to on-site **

Responsibilities

- Manage a team of site-based staff and apply best practices for managing scope, schedule, cost and quality during design and construction

- Client representation 

- Facilitating meetings and communication across multiple stakeholders

- Utilizing the latest project management control systems

- Assisting in the development of scopes and budgets for changes in the work

- Evaluating technical proposals

- Assisting the client with mitigating construction cost and schedule risks

- Monitoring schedule performance, approving payment requisitions and generating executive-level progress reports

- Assigning and maximizing contributions from technical resources supporting the project

- Expediting actions and actively engaging in the resolution of issues arising during design and construction

Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture

- 5+ years experience as a responsible-in-charge Project Manager in an Engineering or Construction organization

- Prior experience with GSA processes and procedures (i.e. GSA P-100 facilities standards, invoice processing, etc.)

- An understanding of Design-Build contracts

- Strong working knowledge of building systems, components and technology

- Strong working knowledge of contract management, project delivery methods and team building
