Overview

We are seeking an HVAC Mechanical Engineer for a contract-to-direct assignment in Burlington, Vermont. The selected candidate will work closely with client owners to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

 

** This position is on-site **

** Candidates with systems design and engineering experience (HVAC, Wet Mech, Dry Mech) are highly preferred **

Responsibilities

- Design oversight of piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust and process chemicals / gasses for large tools 

- Design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including: engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection and specification, and support during construction and integration

- Work directly with client equipment owners, researchers and equipment manufactures of next generation and prototype tools to build utility requirement documents to allow the development of installation design packages

- Act as the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline team and interface closely with the mechanical tool design team

- Provide technical training, quality check designs and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process

- Interact directly with client and contractors to assist construction on-site

- Perform site visits and walks

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

- 7+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience within HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing and related mechanical building systems

- 5+ years experience working with complex manufacturing tools is highly preferred

- A PE License is highly preferred

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
