We are seeking a Construction Engineer for assignment in Morristown, New Jersey. The selected candidate will serve in a construction support position and will work directly with the Assistant Construction Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Safety Manager, Field Engineers and various subcontractors to help facilitate safe, efficient, compliant and cost-effective execution of our construction work.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 5:00pm

** This position has a pay rate of $25 - $29/hr **

- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications and standard operating procedures 

- Maintain open communication with the Construction Manager and Field Engineers, and act as the eyes and ears for your team overseeing our subcontractors implementing the work

- Take direction from the Construction Manager and Field Engineers, and be prepared to pivot tasks quickly and efficiently when site and/or construction conditions change

- Support consistent implementation of all site-specific HSE and environmental plans and objectives

- Provide visible support and leadership to project stakeholders by supporting safe execution of complicated, high-risk construction activities

- Support daily construction oversight activities; daily management and coordination with construction subcontractors; operations, maintenance, and monitoring of air monitoring equipment; construction documentation; and supporting the project team with their daily needs

- Bachelors degree in Safety, Engineering or Construction Management

- A valid Drivers License

- 1 - 3+ years of experience in managing subcontractors; preferably within environmental remediation construction

- OSHA 40 and 8-hour HAZWOPER Certifications

- Experience with preparing daily construction reports and documenting field / construction activities in a Logbook and in photo logs

- Experience and familiarity with air monitoring equipment (specifically 5-gas meters and PIDs); instrumentation calibration and maintenance experience is critical
