We are seeking a Lead Mechanic for assignment in Bixby, Oklahoma. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment associated with water/wastewater treatment plants.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

** This position has a pay rate of $26 - $30/hr **

** This position has a rotational on-call schedule **

** Some electrical experience is required for this position (480V and 12/24 Low Voltage Systems) **

- Reads, interprets and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications and technical illustrations

- Performs skilled repair work, on wastewater treatment plant equipment and instruments

- Inspects, repairs and maintains electrical and/or electro-mechanical operating and control systems, equipment and fixtures

- Inspects, maintains and repairs wiring and lighting systems, electrical control equipment, meters, outlets and panels; as well as motors, pumps and drives

- Installs new equipment, interprets oral and written instructions, specifications, wiring diagrams and codes

- Establishes and maintains scheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance program for the plant's equipment

- May repair electrical and electronic instruments

- Exercises independent judgment in solving normal work problems under general supervision special tools and equipment

- Keeps electrical and mechanical maintenance records

- Prepares labor and material estimates

- Understands the mathematics of electricity and machines

- Performs other duties as required

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 4+ years experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment (480V and 12/24 Low Voltage Systems)
