Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a contract-to-direct assignment in Boise, Idaho. The selected candidate will work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities and other state of the art manufacturing facilities.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

 

** This position is on-site **

** This position requires a Professional Engineer License (PE) **

Responsibilities

- Oversee designer work, provide team technical leadership, perform quality reviews of design packages and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process

- Interact directly with the client, owner and contractors to assist construction on site

- Work closely with client owners to establish design requirements and produce construction documents

- Engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting and low voltage communications systems

- Prepare technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction 

- Act as the electrical discipline lead or quality control reviewer in project meetings

- Participate in project proposals and suggest solutions to our clients

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

- A Professional Engineer License (PE)

- 15+ years experience in engineering design of building electrical systems

- Proficient in voltage drop, arc flash, short circuit current and load flow calculations

- Proficient in specification and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware

- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications

- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel

- Ability to perform on-site punch list walks
