Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $75-85/hour
• Location: Carlsbad, NM
• Assignment Duration: 12 months+
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+

• Perform loop checks to verify signal integrity and ensure accurate instrument readings
• Conduct functional testing of automation equipment, including PLCs, RTUs, and associated field instruments
• Execute wire terminations and verify proper installation according to wiring diagrams and schematics
• Support the commissioning and startup of new and existing automation systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation, controls, and communication systems
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and electrical teams to ensure alignment on project specifications and timelines
• Document testing procedures, results, and configuration changes in accordance with company standards
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in automation, instrumentation, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, preferably in the oil and gas sector
• Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, or similar control platforms
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments
• Comfortable working in elevated or confined spaces as required
• Willingness to work in field conditions and travel as needed
