Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Compensation: $37-44/hour
  • Location: League City, TX and Texas City, TX
  • Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+

Responsibilities

  • Schedule railcar loading: bill railcars in accordance with company procedures / bill railcars on railroad websites; Coordinate with supply to ensure railcars are being loaded according to plant production; ensure railcar inventory levels are adequate to meet loading needs / reduce levels accordingly to circumvent demurrage charges and invoices
  • Divert cars when needed on servicing railroads
  • Monitor QTS Rail reports.  Maintain spreadsheets that monitor hot listed cars and input bad orders
  • Monitor empty railcar supply for each loading point.  Move cars to storage as needed  
  • Review inbound details (scale tickets) for accuracy, monitoring for returned heels.
  • Coordinate with the local switch, ordering empty railcars to load and necessary re-spot
  • Request shopping instructions with lessors for bad ordered cars or cars to be sent
  • Rail car repair shop
  • Manage cleaning of rail cars prior to shipping to maintenance shop
  • BP MX railcar billing (as needed)
  • Attend weekly meetings related to railcar planning & loading
  • Maintain and publish Monthly Rail Schedule
  • Complete SAP transactions for planning shipments and completing goods issue
  • File railcar paperwork
  • Rail Self-bill (invoicing) support & statement review
  • Tank Truck Operations: Collaborate with carriers, origin locations, and customer service team on scheduling outbounds loads
  • Coordinating rescheduling and SAP transactions
  • Truck Self-bill (invoicing) & statement review
  • Communications & Reporting: Monitor group mailbax for inbound emails and urgent needs.  Run/publish reports as needed

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience required; 
  • Well versed in SAP and Excel preferred
  • Previous experience working in logistics with a focus on railcar operations
  • Ability to communicate and understand work issued by various disciplines
  • Eligible to work for any U.S. employer
  • High School diploma or GED required
