Opportunity Snapshot:

 

  • Compensation:  $50-58/hour
  • Location:  Midkiff, TX
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+
  • Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, install, test and repair all devices associated with automation field operations processes and equipment
  • Learn to calibrate, program, maintain and repair automation equipment at wells and facilities alongside an experienced technician
  • Learn to troubleshoot malfunctions and repair control devices and communication equipment alongside an experienced technician
  • Learn to move and install POCs (Pump Off Controllers) on rod wells alongside an experienced technician
  • Learn to understand and operate Client SCADA system
  • Generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) on control-related equipment and installation and can follow up with installation inspections
  • Act as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead position as needed

Qualifications

  • Associates degree, preferably enhanced by related technical school courses
  • Knowledgeable and has an understanding of basic electrical systems. Technical certification preferred
  • 3.5 years of oil and gas experience or 2 years of automation experience with 1 year as a Lease Operator or equivalent experience/certification/degree in Automation systems
  • Is familiar with regulations applicable to the operations of oil and gas facilities,  OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures
  • A current valid vehicle operator’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Duties require close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Willing and able to work in hazardous environments
  • Must be open to the employment of new procedures, technologies and equipment that have the capability of optimizing Pioneer’s field operations, and must have the capability of collecting and documenting any data necessary to evaluate new procedures, technologies and equipment as may be employed and tested from time to time. Must be adaptable to change, motivated and be a self-starter
