We are seeking a Water / Wastewater Utility Worker for assignment in Mary Esther, Florida. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of water and wastewater collection systems on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

** This position has an on-call schedule **

- Perform routine servicing and corrective maintenance of water and wastewater collection systems

- Clean vehicles, heavy equipment, pumps, tools and other stationery and portable equipment

- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment; perform minor maintenance and lubrication of machinery such as changing oil and greasing equipment

- Operate and maintain vehicles, equipment and tools required to load, unload, haul and spread sand, gravel, dirt and waste products

- Dig and refill ditches and trenches as needed

- Assist operations and maintenance personnel by carrying or holding materials, supplies and tools

- Maintain grounds and buildings; cuts grass, weeds and brushes; trims trees and bushes; rakes grass, leaves and trash, seeds and cares for lawns and ornamental plantings

- Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control; starts and stops pumps, engines and generators; by-pass pumps to control and adjust flow and treatment processes

- Collects process samples as assigned; enter information into chain of custody and utilizes sample tracking tool for all samples collected

- Performs process control sampling and analyses

- Maintains records for daily operations of facilities in daily log and on daily plant check sheets

- Respond to pages as requested by management and be available for on-call shifts

- Perform other duties as required

- A valid Drivers License

- Familiarity with hand and power tools
