Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Compensation: $55-57/hour
  • Location: Midland, TX
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+
  • Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for interface with different organizations (Global Projects, Facilities Engineers, and Complex Maintenance Teams) to maintain a Project Outlook for the New Operations & Readiness Team
  • Adding / removing activities as yearly stewardship progresses, but also keeping near term dates for Start-up, etc. current
  • Support buildout of Operations Readiness Deliverables (using templates and adapting as required) for each of the projects in the Project list
  • Including coordination with key stakeholders to adjust the deliverables as required
  • Steward overall project and deliverables lists between the Operations Readiness teams and other teams in the Business Unit (Field Ops, Maintenance, SSHE, Accounting, etc.).
  • Support ongoing buildout and development of the Operations Readiness Tools and enhancements moving forward
  • Support cost tracking and scheduling activities for the Compression Commissioning team executing work as part o the Operations Readiness Activities.  Maintain Operations Readiness Project list and coordinate updates as required with New Ops Superintendent and Operations Advisors.  Maintain Operations Readiness Deliverables and interface with functions to keep up to date
  • Build out dashboards and management reports to provide reports on Operations Readiness activities
  • Support Compressor Foreman with preparing forecasts, cost trend reports, and monitor cost and budget forecasts on multiple commissioning projects
  • Report on deviations, underruns and overruns, and can make recommendations for corrective actions
  • Promote and facilitate effective communication, teamwork, and alignment between Foremen in New Operations Team
  • Continue to support updates to Operations Readiness tools (Cost Tracking, SharePoint, Schedule Coordination, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with previous experience supporting Planning in Upstream Operations & Maintenance Business units (experience with supporting Start-up and handover of Capital Projects is preferred)

  • 5-7+ year experience in Oil & Gas Upstream / Midstream projects or operations

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management

  • Skills to negotiate and broker successful solutions between Internal Coordination parties above

  • Basic to advance level proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls

  • Strong Influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs

  • Proficient in Smartsheet’s (or equivalent programs) in building out tracking, but also designing dashboards and reports.  Experience with PowerBI a plus

  • Adaptability to changing priorities

  • Ability to organize, plan, control, coordinate, and effectively manage cross-functional activities
