Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $35.00/hour
• Location: Houston, TX
• Assignment Duration: 12 months +
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours + (in-office)
  
• Benefits: Comprehensive with 401K, holidays and PTO 

• Lead and complete all utility bill retrieval, data entry, auditing, processing, payment tracking, and exporting to Accounting for booking and payment
• Duties include ongoing process improvement of data capture and management requiring strong data entry and analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate to accomplish objectives within the corporate environment and with electricity providers/utilities
• Input and process utility bills in utility bill management software and send to Accounting/Treasury via general ledger
• Audit utility bills and request refunds for errors found (track all refunds and credits)
• Track and ensure invoices are paid by their due date
• Assist with meter tracking and management.  Track all meter add/delete requests
• Strive to save the company on utility cost through direct refunds or bill credits from errors found in utility bills and future, reoccurring errors prevented.

• Bachelor’s or associate degree is preferred; BS or BA in Energy Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related degree is preferred
• 3 years’ related work experience required with at least 2 years’ experience in the energy management, accounting, electricity, or oil and gas industry.  Familiarity with upstream oil and gas operations are highly desired
• Must have the technical capability to input (using manual or automated process), and analyze electricity bill cost and usage data and track credits and payments to and from the company
• Must have experience working with spreadsheets and web-based software and the ability to query and manage a database
• Experience with utility bill management software is preferred along with knowledge of utility bill structures and rates/tariffs
• Must be a self-starter with excellent organization and communication skills and attention to detail
