Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for assignment in Boise, Idaho. The selected candidate will work on projects including semiconductor cleanroom, laboratories and other state of the art manufacturing and service areas.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

 

** This position is on-site **

** This position has a pay rate of $50 - $73/hr **

** This position requires a Professional Engineer License (PE) **

Responsibilities

- Engineering and design for data center facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting and low voltage communications systems

- Design may include retrofit of existing building systems

- Prepare technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction

- Interact directly with the client, owner and contractors to assist construction on site

- Oversee designer work

- Perform quality reviews of design packages

- Act as Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer in project meetings

- Participate in project proposals

- Additional responsibilities may include the management of quality, scope, budget and schedule

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

- A Professional Engineer License (PE)

- 10+ years experience in engineering design of building electrical systems

- Proficient in SKM PTW, EasyPower or similar modeling software

- Proficient in voltage drop, arc flash, short circuit current and load flow calculations

- Proficient in specification and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware

- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications

- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel

- Ability to perform on-site punch list walks
