Opportunity Snapshot:

 

  • Compensation: $50-62.00/hour
  • Location: Mont Belvieu, TX
  • Duration: 12 months+ 
  • Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+ with OT as needed for TAR
  • Benefits: Comprehensive insurance and 401(k), PTO and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of their assigned project area throughout its life cycle
  • Responsible for ordering all materials needed for the assigned TAR
  • Responsible for requisitioning and receiving quotes, purchasing long lead items, and expediting those items when needed
  • Ensure the current status of every phase is accurately reflected in the reporting cycle
  • After planning is complete - compile the complete list of material to be ordered, pull what is available from warehouse stock/surplus, order the rest from approved vendor
  • Work with planners to identify long lead items and coordinate ordering/delivery
  • Work with cost department to assign material cost to budget spreadsheets
  • Work with material coordinators to verify receipt of material and rectify any inaccuracies
  • Contractor Onboarding
  • Maintain material PO log Work with cost team to populate any material related data they require
  • Compare invoicing to requisitions and identify discrepancies/overages/inaccuracies and notify cost group
  • Assist with material PO closeout
  • Assist AWR team with any material that needs to be ordered
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work place
  • Constantly monitor Client's planning practices and suggest improvements where necessary
  • Assist the Turnaround Team with all other duties assigned
  • Maintenance assistance
  • Potential Capital work assignments
  • Control file folder structure and file naming convention
  • Inventory office supplies and order additional when needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor'e degree preferred
  • 4-6 years related experience
  • Purchasing Accreditation would be an asset
  • Experience should be at least 2 years related in a chemical/petrochemical
  • At least 2 years related in negotiation, development and contract management
  • Negotiation and Management of Conflicts
  • Planning and Resources Management
  • Basic know how in Procurement techniques, methods, processes and strategies
  • Basic skills in using tools like SAP, excel and other databases
  • Professional level English language required
  • High school diploma or GED required
