- Bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology and 10+ years of industry or 15+ years industry experience
- Project engineering / management experience on small capital and expense projects at operating facility/pipelines
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Process Flow Diagrams, including flow charts, cause/effect diagrams, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings
- Mechanical/Piping and Instrumentation and Controls experience preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with natural gas distribution and transmission, custody transfer meter stations, regulator stations, and gas storage facilities preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of common engineering practices and Industrial codes including ANSI B31.3 piping code, ASME Section VIII pressure vessel code and other related codes and standards of ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, IEC, NACE, NEC and NFPA
- Experience with B31.8 pipeline, DOT, PHMSA, and FERC regulated pipeline a plus
- Field commissioning and startup planning and execution experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of petrochemical industry practices for safety and permit to work. Good understanding and ability to comprehend applicable industry standards
- Project management skills including ability to organize, plan and deliver results per business timeline. Knowledge of project cost estimating and scheduling techniques. Knowledge of equipment specification and procurement
- Leadership and coordination skills. Excellent team working and collaboration with cross functional teams. Effective verbal and written communication skills
