We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in Little River Academy, Texas. The selected candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on public water distribution systems and treatment facilities.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

- Perform maintenance on live water main distribution lines

- Perform plumbing repair on lines up to 6" made of various materials

- Replace valves and install clamps, as needed

- Collecting samples

- Lubricate equipment and check for malfunctions

- Replace packing in pumps or valves

- Replace bearings in motors, pumps and other equipment

- Clean out / jet lines and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required

- Assist in keeping maintenance records

- Respond to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations

- Perform other duties as required

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 1+ years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance (pumps, motors, valves)

- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
