Opportunity Snapshot:

 

  • Compensation: $65-75/hour, DOE
  • Location: Notrees, TX
  • Work Schedule: 5-6 days per week (Night Shift)
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to supervise and coordinate HSE aspects of construction activities of offsite contractors (i.e pipelines, electrical transfer station, potable water plant, or communication tower) as well as to Coordinate HSE interfaces with RWTP and ASU
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment at the project site, as well as environmentally sound construction activities
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Stratos Construction Manager on site and Offsite Project Manager
  • Communication and coordination Coordinate with project field personnel and field management
  • Support efforts to provide clear HSE guidance based on OSHA 1910 and 1926 as a minimum, Contractor's Site Safety Plan (and other safety documents pertinent to the project) as well as Client's procedures that apply to the project
  • Collect and enter Client and contractor incidents in Intelex. Follow up Client reporting standards and interface for Contractor companies reporting to Client and follow up on action plans on site to resolutions accordingly
  • Conduct HSE Inspections and observations entering the results in Client's Intelex system
  • Coordinate Emergency Response efforts with contractor HSE Leads Emergency response and conduct Emergency drills
  • Support the collection and reporting of weekly and monthly HSE metrics
  • Implement and coordinate on-site the Monthly HSE Contractor Scorecard 10. Support the creation of HSE work instructions when and where appropriate

Qualifications

  • HSE-related Associates/Bachelor’s degree or HSE Certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry. Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within multi-discipline team environment

  • Ability to prepare and deliver both written and oral presentations

  • Advanced in use of Microsoft Office Suite software

  • Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills

  • Limited supervision required

  • Understands local and central management goals in addition to business objectives; incorporates same into problem solving process

  • Understands importance in keeping all appropriate individuals informed

  • Works with asset or project team members to provide technical solutions

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of HSE activities including confined space entry, hot work, lock-out/tag-out, and other safe work permits

  • Proactive in seeking assistance from local experts on technical matters

  • Professional/Technical Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications: Obtained HSE-related certifications, such as CSP, OHST, CSHO, CHST, ASP or other relevant credential – Preferred
