We are seeking a Mechanic for assignment in Farmington, New Mexico. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment associated with water/wastewater treatment plants.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

** This position has a pay rate of $22.95/hr **

- Read and record information in Maintenance Connection (i.e., work orders and mechanical information sheets)

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles (i.e., fluid levels, belts, tires)

- Perform routine onsite pump station inspections

- Test auxiliary equipment (i.e., alarms, HVAC, pumps, engines, generators)

- Lubricate equipment and replace filters

- Assists in keeping maintenance records

- Communicates effectively at all levels regarding recommended maintenance and repair procedures

- Respond on an on-call basis for emergencies

- Travel between work locations

- Performs other related duties as assigned

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 1+ years experience as a Mechanic

- Familiarity with valves, pumps and motors
