Responsibilities

The Capital Projects Administrator is responsible for the overall management of the capital projects systems across Company subsidiaries, including the creation and maintenance of records and record keeping systems related to capital projects.  

 

 - Functions as a coordinator between Engineering Department and Company subsidiaries on matters related to capital projects

 - Advise Project Leaders, in all departments, on cost accounting practices for all capital projects

 - Directly interface with CPD for capital management

 - Develop data management system for all aspects of capital projects

 - Advises and assists Project Leaders in the capital project purchase requisition process.

 - Develop project closing procedures & manages the closing process through SAP and GAIMS system

 - Trains and advises Engineering Department on use of SAP.

 - Prepare Capital Cost reports as needed and as directed by the supervision.

 - Provide Total Project Costs for specific capital projects as needed by project leads

 - Develop procedures and processes to reduce Project Engineers workloads

 - Maintain complete and open lines of communication with other personnel, functions, or departments to facilitate operations and interaction in the organization.

 - Keep supervisor informed of status and progress, ensuring that regular and periodic communication takes place.

 - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications.

 - Fulfill mandatory training requirements applicable for department and job duties as appropriate.

 - Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management

 

The Capital Projects Administrator is also responsible for coordinating the Company Summer Internship Program which is designed to educate and mentor the next generation of engineers, scientists, and business professionals.  Coordination activities include, but are not limited to recruitment process, onboarding activities, and administrative duties.

 

Intern Program:

 - Functions as a coordinator between various Company departments (Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, laboratories, etc.) and HR

 - Coordinate activities related to the recruitment process:

gathering candidate information (applications, resumes, reference letters, transcripts, etc.) scheduling interviews (phone & onsite) with intern candidates and appropriate Company personnel and participate in vetting process of intern candidates

 - Coordinate activities related to onboarding of interns:

Coordinate with staffing agency (hr documents; identification; timesheets, TWIC, HASC, etc.); coordinate with IT to ensure proper accounts, software and equipment is provided to interns on day 1; coordinate with Learning Center on 1st day orientation activities and ensure proper PPE and other required equipment is distributed to each intern.

 - Manage administrative activities related to the intern program:

Time keeping by issuing POs to staffing agency; coordinate learning activities like lunch & learns, site visits, final presentations at the end of the internship, etc.

 

 

Qualifications

 - 1-3 years experience in administering Capital cost control structure

 - Bachelor's degree

 - MS Office with particular expertise in Excel.

 - Experience with SAP required
