Opportunity Snapshot:

  • Compensation: $60-70/hour
  • Location: Midland. TX
  • Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+

Responsibilities

  • Provide early design input to Global Projects organization for Brownfield Expansion Projects to address O&M learnings and minimize DT required
  • After finalizing of Shutdown Plan (Shutdown Categorization, Scope List, Execution Timing / Sequence, and isolation philosophy) coordinate with the multifunctional planning teams to complete the following deliverables:
    • Lean Thinking review of scope to confirm
    • Integrated Schedule
    • Checkpoint Summary Deliverables (Checkpoint 1, Checkpoint 2, and Go / No-Go)
    • Supporting Plans (Communication, Contingency Plans, Emergency Response, Staffing Approach, Contractor Summary, etc.)
    • Steward tracking of final integrated plan activities through Go / No-Go
    • Pre-work requirements (materials, initial activities, etc.)
    • Detailed Isolation Plans
    • Finalization of MOCs, etc.
    • Execution Plans / Work Permits
  • Facilitate reviews with Sr. Leadership on Checkpoints and Post Shutdown Lookback reviews where applicable
  • Mentor other Company Shutdown Coordinators with less experience around Shutdown Management Processes to build capacity in the organization
  • Support development / refinement of the integrated shutdown scheduling tools (Primavera, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Provide feedback on future enhancement capabilities:
  • Shutdown execution schedule KPIs / enhanced planning
  • Crash Planning and preparation process for unplanned shutdowns

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Turnaround procedures
  • The ability to read at a level to understand written safety procedures, work procedures, blue prints, P&IDs, work permits, and technical instruction manuals is required
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment is required.
  • Basic computer skills such as opening, creating and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets is required
  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business like and professional manner is required
  • Works indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment.  Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment
  • Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools.  Climbs and works at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position
  • Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
  • Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100 foot lbs. of torque.  Must wear special safety equipment while working and must be able to lift and put on emergency breathing apparatus and/or protective equipment
  • Must be local to Midland
  • High School diploma or GED required
