Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $30-57/hour DOE
• Location: Midkiff, TX
• Assignment Duration: 12 months+
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+
• Benefits: Comprehensive with 401K, holidays and PTO

• Assists in the maintenance of one or more compressors with responsibility of the compressor packages and equipment

• Provides feedback for the operation of compressor packages

• Planning and organization of PMs and other maintenance items

• May assist other field locations/mechanics
• Communicate and respond to other contractors and XOM personnel, emergency cues/alarms, in person and on the telephone, including use of mobile devices

• OEM, Trade School or comparable work experience in related field/industry
• Some knowledge in gas processes, mechanic of motor compressors (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.)
• 1-year compression process, production, and equipment related experience and/or training
• Electrical Troubleshooting skills
• Main competencies: teamwork, effective communication, both written and oral, analytical capability, Mechanical aptitude, self-motivation and self-control, initiative, planning and problem solving
• Possess basic knowledge of compressor packages, including some components and systems
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold.
• Ability to move and maintain self in different positions—stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Working knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Valid Driver’s License, with Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within the acceptable parameters of Company Policy, required.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
