Overview

We are seeking a Facility Electrical Engineer for assignment in Wilton, Connecticut. The selected candidate will collaborate with on-site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity including assessment of systems, consulting system owners and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders.

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

- Work will include retrofit of existing building systems as well as new systems

- Interacting with the client, contractors and site personnel

- Designing, developing, evaluating and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD) and scope of work (SOW) documents

- Develop construction and specifications documents through the positional (programming) process with a team

- Oversee engineering and construction for the facility power distributions system work (up to 13.8kV), grounding, lighting, emergency and standby generation systems, life safety systems and fire alarm and detection systems

Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

- 10+ years experience in engineering design of building electrical systems, including distribution to end use

- Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards

- Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware

- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS and other controls applications

- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications 

- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
