We are seeking a Electrical / Mechanical Technician for assignment in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant, and related equipment, on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment relating to wastewater treatment

- Lubricating equipment, assessing gear boxes and drives for malfunctions

- Taking and recording preventative maintenance measurements

- Replacing packing or mechanical seals for various pumps or valves

- Using the SCADA system to identify faults with equipment throughout the plant

- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on processing equipment, HVAC systems and pneumatic/hydraulic systems

- Rebuilding or replacing motors, pumps, gearboxes and belt drives

- Replacing packing or mechanical seals for various pumps or valves

- Clean out pipes and perform other plumbing and pipe fitting tasks as required

- Light metal fabrication including cutting, grinding and welding for repairs

- Install and set up new or replacement equipment

- Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences

- Observes and reports abnormalities to supervisor

- Maintain open communication with operations regarding equipment issues

- Record all tasks in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) 

- Perform other duties as required

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- A general understanding of 480V 3 phase power sourcing and troubleshooting

- Experience with troubleshooting 3 phase motors and VFD control panels

- Basic knowledge in 120V relay control circuits and transformers

- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic powered systems

- Welding experience with a MIG welder

- HVAC system experience is a plus
