We are seeking a Wastewater Lab Tech for assignment in Jackson, Mississippi. The selected candidate will perform chemical, bacteriological and physical laboratory tests for a water recycling facility. This includes preparation of analytical standard solutions and reagents utilized for analyses.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

** This position will require participation in a alternating weekend rotational schedule **

- Make chemical solutions, perform standard chemical calculations and perform routine mathematical and statistical calculations

- Continually review and scrutinize standardized procedures and methods used in analyses

- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed

- Participate in shared responsibilities, to maintain laboratory programs, including quality assurance, safety and training

- Periodic training of operations personnel on field equipment, analytical techniques and quality control procedures

- Present information and data both orally and in reports

- Perform other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- 1 year of laboratory testing and analysis experience

- Familiarity with EPA and Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater methods
