We are seeking a Temporary Wastewater Operator for assignment in West Melbourne, Florida. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and other day-to-day activities on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm

** This is a 2nd Shift position **

** This is a temporary position, slated to last 2 to 6 months **

- Reads and comprehends a variety of technical laboratory, operations and maintenance procedures

- Starts and stops machinery and pumps via supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA)

- Regulates valves and observes instrumentation

- Adds chemicals according to prescribed standards

- Collects and analyzes various samples periodically and reports results

- Maintains simple records

- Performs cleanup work on equipment and daily/weekly assigned housekeeping duties

- Assists certified operator 

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- A valid Class C Wastewater License

- 1+ year of experience in operating wastewater treatment plants
