We are seeking an HVAC Mechanical Engineer for assignment. The selected candidate will support layout and design of HVAC systems for various types of clients; including electric vehicles, data centers and heavy industrial facilities.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Candidates can work a Hybrid Schedule in one of the following locations:
- Development of design criteria for HVAC systems; systems would include general comfort heating and cooling, those with accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements and/or cleanliness requirements for clean room applications
- Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of P&ID's and general arrangements
- Layout of ductwork systems based on a P&ID
- Development of final design documents including specification, sequences of operation, piping layout and final construction documents associated with these systems; systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc.
- Coordination with other disciplines
- Mentoring of less experienced staff
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A Professional Engineer License (PE)
- 7+ years experience with HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing and related mechanical facilities systems
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems
- Data Center experience is highly preferred
