We are seeking an Electrical Designer for assignment in Portland, Oregon. The selected candidate will prepare drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, working closely with Engineers to coordinate design efforts.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm


- Has electrical discipline focus and demonstrates ability to apply technical skills to discipline design

- Accesses and applies design principles at the intermediate/advanced level specific to the electrical discipline

- Checks own work, coordinates work with related disciplines

- Develops proficiency in discipline-specific 3D modeling tools and AutoCAD

- Takes responsibility for their portion of the discipline's scope, schedule and budget

- Will be responsible for developing Detailed Location Specific Tool Install Design Packages from vendor and client supplied information. (Design packages include equipment layout plans, facility and equipment data table coordination, schematic drawings, and typical installation detail placement.)

- Coordinate with Design Team Members, support design reviews, support services during construction (RFI responses), verify field (fab) conditions with some as-built creation

- Proficient using AutoCAD 2010 (or newer) in primary design/drafting/detailing job role and is confident enough in AutoCAD skillset to quickly adapt to strict CAD standards and processes. (Layer Management, Lisp Routines/Scripts, XREF, database, dynamic blocks, and automation)

- Capable of laying out overall one-line diagrams on small and medium projects and sizing the equipment

- Capable of physically sizing electrical equipment and electrical rooms

- Are able to read schematics and translate into conduit and cable schedules

- Design and route conduit (size per NEC requirements)    



- High School Diploma or GED

- Proficient in AutoCAD 2010 or newer

- Minimum 5 years experience in electrical design (semi-conductor and tool install background is highly preferred)


- Proficiency in Revit is preferred     

- Trade school or Associates degree is preferred
