We are seeking a Tool Install Structural Designer for assignment in Hillsboro, Oregon. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, appropriate design criteria, and technical manuals; coordinating designs and developing design concepts to resolve both real and modeled conflicts.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm


- Works with other disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and process, to coordinate design needs for tool install packages, working independently to put together structural drawings to meet client needs

- Conducts field investigations as needed to verify existing conditions

- Manages and incorporates electronic redlines from the Structural Engineer using established workflows

- Takes complete ownership of their portion of the structural scope, reliably working to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Delegates to junior staff when appropriate

- Highly proficient in checking own work and coordinating work with related disciplines to avoid clashes

- Supports construction activities such as conducting field observations and assisting with Requests For Information (RFIs)

- Proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within their own discipline, including design automation skills. Embraces emerging technologies

- Highly focused on quality, ensuring conformance with established structural standards, project standards, and project delivery processes. Able to provide quality reviews of models and documents prepared by others to assure design and project standards are met

- Able to support work for/in other offices (possibly including Temporary Duty Assignments)


- High School diploma or GED

- 2 years AutoCAD drafting/design experience in the structural field

- Experience in the Semiconductor/Tool Install industry is preferred
