Overview

We are currently seeking a Measurement Technician for a direct position with a leading midstream services firm in Mont Belvieu, TX. Our client owns, operates, acquires and develops midstream energy assets.

Responsibilities

The Measurement Technician will be responsible for:

 

- Installing maintain and calibrate turbine, Coriolis, ultrasonic, and orifice meters

- Installing, maintaining and calibrating densitometers and provers
- Installing, maintaining and calibrating of pressure, temperature and other transmitters 
- Resolving measurement issues, including accounting for unaccounted for product
- Recognizing malfunctions in individual equipment components and perform maintenance as necessary 
- Ability to monitor and analyze measurement data and the ability to react to this data
- Interface with measurement control system
- Installation, and maintenance of various  flow computers
- Interpersonal skills required to interface with customers and all other crafts
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and associated software
- Must be a self-starter and be able to prioritize work based on business needs
- Maintaining clean and safe working environment 
- Making any or all repairs as deemed reasonable and safe
- Maintaining accurate records shutdown and safety checks
- Maintaining all required documentation for process safety management
- Operating a company vehicle
- Maintaining the company vehicle at all times to ensure safety and equipment that he will operate
- Maintaining tools and equipment issued 
- Work weekends and overtime on an as needed basis

Qualifications

- Two year associates degree in instrumentation or equivalent training
- Five years’ experience in petrochemical industry
- Two years plus working with petroleum measurement

- Must have a valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a team environment, self-starter, and ability to work with peers in collaborative efforts
- Familiarity working with software including WonderWare and Excel
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well with peers and other crafts

- Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.
