Overview

We are currently seeking a Terminal Coordinator for a direct position with a leading midstream services firm in Tacoma, WA. Our client owns, operates, acquires and develops midstream energy assets.

Responsibilities

The Terminal Coordinator will assist in it’s detailed accounts payable and inventory transactions while maintaining an analytical eye on the overall financial picture. The Terminal Coordinator will enter the daily accounts payable, inventory transactions, and monthly transactions while supporting the Commercial and Operations teams. The ideal candidate has proven commercial and business support expertise with an understanding of operational accounting. We are seeking a self-starter who excels at framing problems analytically, is comfortable working through ambiguity, and has a proven track record of leveraging analytical insights to improve decisions and business outcomes.  
 
Responsibilities include:
 
- Entering detailed inventory information into various systems
- Distributing detailed reports to stakeholders
- Entering non-inventory account payable transactions into Oracle resolving problem invoices and reconciling match exceptions
- Back-up to AR invoice generations
- Reconcile payment cards

- Back-up various administrative roles
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities and make decisions that optimize the daily running of the business or build out of a new capability
- Perform key reporting functions (routine and ad-hoc)

Qualifications

- Previous exposure to a variety of financial systems, structures, and software systems
- Strong desire to support the commercial and operational teams 
- Ability to drive analytic projects end to end, with strong data extraction, cleansing, and manipulation skills in support of analysis
- Technical Requirements – Advanced analytics knowledge and experience is required (ex.  Advanced Excel, PowerPivot)
- Experience in one or all of the following software preferred: Oracle, RightAngle, PeopleSoft, SharePoint
- Strong ability to address and solve business questions/needs 
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and executives, adapting your style and work to most effectively engage and influence the target audience with clarity, confidence, and conviction
- Comfortable with highly ambiguous requests from senior management, and able to effectively turn them into detailed work plans and contracted deliverables that meet customers’ need
- Ability to work with and train individuals in the company’s processes and procedures
