  • Overview

    A leading Gulf Coast Engineering & Construction firm is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to Lead/Manage their Process Engineering Department, and be based in the Deer Park, TX area.

    Responsibilities

    - Responsible for overall performance and goals of the department; supervises and manages process and regulatory compliance engineers.

    - Maintains department and client communications to achieve assignment goals; monitors department quality control/assurance; reviews and maintains control of overall cost and schedule commitments.

    - The Department Manager provides technical guidance and oversight to process engineering team members while completing client projects, process studies, and other deliverables. 

    - The manager assists with business development activities including preparation of engineering services proposals. 

    - Department supervisory responsibilities include salary administration, recruiting, performance reviews, corrective action, coordination of training / development of team members, mentoring and other related activities.

    - Interfacing directly with clients to enhance progress and develop positive business relationships.

    - Prepares technical presentations and proposals for business development activities.

    - Preparation of detailed scopes of work, cost proposals and technical support.

    - Determines staffing and scheduling requirements, project budget and delivery schedules.

    - Assists team to evaluate process options, alternatives, and project justification.

    - Helps to train and develop process department team members.

    - Reviews and approves technical reports prior to issuance to clients.

    - Monitors work product quality to ensure adherence to established practices and client standards. 

     

    Qualifications

    - Position requires BS degree in Chemical Engineering

    - Midstream & Downstream Refinery Background is a must

    - 12 years minimum experience

    - Passing the FE and PE Exams as well as obtaining Professional Engineer registration is encouraged and preferred.
